Supervisor: Vice President for College Relations

Position Purpose:Plays a pivotal role within the College Relations department, responsible for overseeing the efficient utilization and maintenance of the constituent management system. Provides leadership in system implementations, conversions, and upgrades, ensuring seamless operations to support fundraising and engagement efforts. Leads a team dedicated to data governance and advancement services, contributing to the strategic alignment and success of College Relations (CR).

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Reporting and Analytics: Designs and implements a robust structure for data analytics, dashboards, and reporting. Facilitates informed decision-making. Ensures data integrity while identifying donor trends. Collaborates with the Director of Operations on prospect management metrics. Facilitates accurate and timely completion of external surveys.
2. Software Management and Innovation: Serves as the steward of the division’s customer relationship management system (CRM), overseeing its effective utilization. Serves as the project manager for the anticipated CRM migration starting in fiscal year 2024-2025. Develops comprehensive training materials, workshops, and documentation to empower divisional staff in maximizing the CRM's capabilities and fostering innovation in advancement practices.
3. Data Governance and Compliance: Ensures strict adherence to fundraising regulations, policies, and best practices to uphold the accuracy, integrity, and security of constituent data. Manages gift, pledge, and receipt processes in compliance with internal revenue service, financial accounting standards regulations, payment card industry security council, the council for advancement and support of education guidelines, and auditors' requirements.
4. Strategic Alignment: Acts as the primary liaison for College Relations with Finance and Information Technology Services (ITS) to foster collaboration and ensure strategic alignment. Including working closely with Finance on aligning financial reporting periods, fund reconciliations, review of gift processes and controls, and auditing schedules, and working with ITS to ensure CR systems operate effectively and met all data security requirements and ensure

Staff Management: Promotes a culture of excellence, teamwork, and collaboration among staff, providing clear direction, setting priorities, and fostering a supportive environment for professional growth. 6. Budgeting: Prepares a fiscal year budget in partnership with the Office of the VP for College Relations. Reviews and approves expenditures, consulting with Finance and other authorities as appropriate.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of progressive experience in higher education advancement, with a strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices, or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. An Advanced degree in information management, data science, or a related field is preferred.
2. Proficiency in system administration, networking, relational databases, programming, and documentation techniques.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
4. Preferred expertise with Ellucian by Colleague and Salesforce technology, preferably including experience with CRM migration projects.

Compensation

The annual salary range this position is $100,000 - $115,000. Position Purpose: Leads the Accommodative Services Office at Union College, providing strategic direction and overseeing day-to-day operations to support students with disabilities. Sets department goals, establishes organizational structures, develops policies and procedures, educates stakeholders, and supervises staff to ensure effective delivery of services. Advocates for students with disabilities, determines and coordinates accommodations, and promotes inclusivity within the campus community.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Identifies and enacts appropriate accommodations mandated by law. Chairs the Committee on Special Housing to assess and decide on special housing requests, including assigning single housing units and emotional support animals.
3. Student Support and Advocacy: Collaborates with students to evaluate their requirements, coordinates accommodations, and devises initiatives to meet their needs. Champions students’ rights and enlightens the campus community about disability-related matters. Works closely with campus departments to facilitate accommodations for temporary disabilities, medical needs, housing, and mental health.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Engages with faculty, staff, students, parents, and community members to advise on disability services, legal rights, and accommodations. Collaborates with college attorneys, consultants, deans, and faculty to address concerns and ensure compliance. Supports students in study abroad programs and graduate school applications by providing required paperwork and ensuring their needs are accommodated.

Qualifications:

1. A master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, psychology, education, student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field is required.
2. Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years of leadership experience in developing, coordinating, and managing disability-related services, preferably within a higher education setting.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and practice concerning disabilities, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the ADA Amendments (ADAAA) of 2008, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Supervisor: Chief Information Officer

Position Purpose:Manages the Client Services and Learning Environments team, handling both personnel and financial aspects. Leads support for students, faculty, and staff by evaluating technical issues and collaborating with ITS (Information Technology Services) peers to implement effective solutions. Directly oversees Tier 1 and Tier 2 Client Services teams (including ITS Help Desk and Learning Environments), managing training, staffing, and performance assessment. Additionally, responsible for the equipment lifecycle replacement workflow, encompassing standards definition, procurement, setup, and distribution.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Team Management and Leadership: Recruits, manages, trains, and mentors Client Services and Learning Environments teams. Evaluates team performance and develops and implements processes for improvement. Manages assigned ITS resources for implementation and support.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration, and a minimum of 5 years of successful management experience in a service-oriented technology environment, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Proficient in Windows and Apple client hardware and operating systems.
3. Proven experience implementing performance metrics for operational analysis and decision-making purposes.

As a Director of CSE and School Psychology, you will direct and oversee the completion of intellectual, academic, and social emotional assessments and re-evaluations of students referred to the Committee on Special Education (CSE) at the School at Northeast and Neil Hellman School. You will lead the Committee on Special Education meetings and provide oversight to the NYS Special Education Regulations. You will report to the Chief Officer of Education and will work onsite.

Associate Director for Fraternity & Sorority Life

Supervisor: Director of Residential Education

Position Purpose: Oversees and directs the operations, vision, and programs for Greek life at Union College by facilitating an environment where members of the Greek community can be challenged and supported in their personal growth, efforts, and experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to students. Shares responsibility with other Associate Directors for residential student staff processes (such as room selection, recruitment, selection, hiring, training, and ongoing development). Carries out the mission of Union College and the Division of Student Affairs.

This position primarily operates on site and requires in-person presence. Additionally, the role offers the opportunity for optional on-campus housing.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Greek Community Development & Engagement: Creates a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Greek organizations. Manages and supervises the activities of and provides guidance to various National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations as well as local/unaffiliated organizations. Coordinates recruitment/intake and the annual review processes for all student Greek letter organizations. Designs and implements leadership development programs for the Greek community, including programming in the areas of risk management, membership recruitment/intake and education; problem resolution, and community planning.
2. Supervision: Supervises the Community Director for Greek Houses. Indirectly supervises Greek house managers and part-time party monitors. Guides and supports the community director and student staff community development efforts, including the implementation of curricular engagement guides and corresponding assessments.
3. Student Health and Safety: Monitors and intervenes with students who may be struggling academically and/or with other behavioral and developmental issues. Refers accordingly to services as needed. Participates in regular professional staff on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and serving as a resource or referral agent. Understands and enforces Code of Student Conduct and other policies regarding behavior, safety, security, health, and other matters in cooperation with the appropriate offices. Serves as a campus judicial hearing officer. Participates in CARE team meetings and provides culturally responsive support to students.
4. Collaboration: Builds relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to advance the Greek Life program and support its mission. Works in collaboration with designated staff in College Relations to interface with fraternity and sorority alumni. Serves as the liaison to national organizations, chapter advisors, and other College departments.
5. Administration: Holds regular office hours to address student and staff needs. Manages the budget for the Greek Life department, allocating resources to support programming, events, and operational expenses. Attends campus community events. Serves on college committees as assigned. Assists with administrative office duties. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.

Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 3-5 years of student affairs experience or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable.
2. Director of Equal Opportunity and Title IX Coordinator

Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, full-time

Supervisor: Vice President and Chief of Staff

Position Purpose: Under general direction by the Vice President and Chief of Staff, Office of the President, works collaboratively with various departments, including Student Affairs, Human Resources, Academic Affairs, Campus Safety and the Chief Diversity Officer to ensure the College’s adherence to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Amendments to the Clery Act, New York State Education Law Article 129-B, and other federal and state laws governing gender-based misconduct, discrimination, harassment and equal opportunity. Plays a pivotal role in fostering and securing a nurturing environment conducive to academic and personal growth of all College community members.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Compliance: Facilitates compliance with all procedures, requirements and timeframes outlined in the College’s Title IX Policy, Gender-based Misconduct Policy, and the Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation in Employment. Leads an effort to review and revise policies in response to changes in governing laws, regulations, and guidance. Reviews and compiles reports in compliance with federal and state law and to identify and address any patterns or systemic problems of reports of harassment and misconduct within the College community. Completes annual assessment report of progress to goals.
2. Process Oversight: Oversees and coordinates investigations, responses, and resolutions to complaints under the Title IX Policy, the Gender-based Misconduct Policy, and the Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation in Employment. Assures that investigation and resolution processes are conducted in a fair, timely, impartial, respectful, and thorough manner.
3. Collaboration & Partnership: Collaborates with colleagues in Student Affairs and Human Resources to identify topics, design and deliver student and employee training including compliance content training (e.g. NCAA Title IX requirements, new student orientation requirements, student training pursuant to New York Education Law Article 129-B, etc.). Coordinates with local organizations and service providers to ensure our community members have access to confidential resources. Manages partnerships with other external agencies with which the College has a partnership in executing its responsibilities under Title IX and other applicable laws and regulations.
4. Supervision: Selects, trains, assigns and oversees designated roles including Deputy Title IX Coordinators, investigators, adjudication panel members, appellate panel members and advisors; ensures all are adequately trained in compliance with federal and New York State law.

Qualifications:

1. A Master’s degree in a related field such as human resources, law, social justice, higher education administration or a relevant discipline and/or a Juris Doctorate, and a minimum of three years of experience in equal opportunity compliance, Title IX administration, or a related field, preferably in a higher education or nonprofit organizational setting.
2. Extensive experience working on compliance with Title IX, Title VII, ADA, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Section 504 and related regulatory requirements.
3. Certification and/or training as required by federal and New York State law to serve in the position, or ability to obtain such certification and training prior to commencement of employment.
4. Demonstrated expertise in federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to equal opportunity, affirmative action, discrimination and harassment, including comprehensive knowledge of Title VII, Title IX, the Clery Act, New York State Education Law Article 129-B or similar state laws, and related guidance from the United States Department of Education and applicable state authorities.
5. Ability to work outside of regular business hours when necessary.
6. Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity towards experiences and expressions of trauma caused by sexual violence, discrimination and harassment.
7. Strong presentation skills with an emphasis on education and training for a variety of constituencies.
8. Experience conducting and/or overseeing investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct, and familiarity with principles of procedural fairness and due process.
9. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
10. Able to foster and enhance a thriving, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleagues.

Compensation

The annual salary range this position is $115,000.00 - $123,000.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Temporary Summer Assistant - Advancement Information Services

Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Temporary. This is a summer position (8-10 weeks) and Union College students are encouraged to apply. This position is an onsite position and not eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Supervisor: Assistant Director of Advancement Information Services

Start Date: This position is estimated to start on or after June 22nd.

Position Purpose: Provides support to the Advancement Information Services team by assisting with data entry, web searches, project support and various administrative tasks. Provides flexible support as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Locator Services: Conducts web searches to locate and update alumni information including addresses, phone numbers, employment details and graduate school information. Researches updates on corporate partners.
2. Database Entry: Updates the database with the latest information from the locator service and other campus departments.
3. Project Support: Utilizes Excel and Google Sheets to manage projects efficiently. Creates pivot tables as necessary to analyze and present data effectively. Performs other duties as assigned.

2. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
